I have just upgraded my KAT500 to the latest Beta firmware. The release notes suggested that it would now follow band changes automatically using Kenwood equipment but they were less than explicit.
I have my TS990 connected to my KPA500 which in turn is connected to the KAT500. The KPA500 follows the TS990 band changes but the KAT500 still does not and only operates via RF sensing. Did I read something into the release notes that was not really there or should the KAT500 now follow the TS990 band changes ? Any comments from people in the know would be appreciated. For the avoidance of doubt, the KAT500 changes bands automatically when I use my K3.
