Hi, No, no crystal filters in a "pure" SDR. But if they sampled after the 1st mixer but before the roofing filter bank, maybe. If Elecraft added demodulator software and an audio output to the P3 that's exactly what the combination would be. Being able to display and record a significant portion of the HF spectrum plus the ability to demodulate very wide modes such as wideband FM is what is expected from a more or less "pure" SDR. The remaining K3 analog front end including the RF filters, attenuator and preamp would go a long way to make the A/D converter having an easier way.
