Hi Mike, if You open some mail-archive You can see a lot of mails concerning this behaviour (recognized as strange by some of us) from the first days of K3. There is probably no way for solution. So if You have key activated You have a Key Out activated. There is no real PTT out. Probably this was not recognized in design period as a real need and nobody count with some of us with more complex systems with VHF/UHF transvertors, premplifiers and a lot of relays around :-( Yes, there is no RF and You have Inhibit port. But .....
