Hey, I have recently changed from JT65-HF to WSJT-X software. I've had great success with the software and its working well with one exception. If I enable bidirectional rig control (by setting a non-zero polling interval), it works for a period of time -- however at some point, maybe 30 min, it simply stops listening to the K3 anymore (commands sent TO the K3 work just fine, but the VFO frequency is no longer shown). This is most apparent when I use the WSJT-X pull-down menu to change band. The K3 changes band as you would expect, but WSJT-X will continue to show the frequency from the last band and it won't update, no matter how long you wait.
Its easy to restore operation by setting the polling value to zero (which puts the WSJT-X software into a unidirectional mode -- control out, no feedback in). After setting it to zero, then putting it back to 2 seconds, the ORG display will immediately update. It will continue working properly for a period of time, then fail in a similar fashion. I don't suspect this is an issue with the K3 or cable, as changing the WSJT-X setting seems to resolve things, so I suspect this is a issue with the WSJT-X program itself. Just wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue? PS Computer is running 64-bit Win7. Latest FTDI USB drivers are installed. 73, Bob, WB4SON ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
