I have the same problem with my KAT500, mainly on 160m.
My problem is my antennas sit on a 26'x150' apartment building roof and are to close together. I have done all the Choke/Balun fixes I could.

The fix for me is to get the antennas tuned using AUTO,
then when I operate I switch to MAN. It seems to stop the random re-tunes caused by rf coming back into the shack on the other feedlines.

so I would suggest you first do all you can to choke of that stray rf then try in MAN and see if that helps with your particular situation.

Using my K3 and other Radios thru my KAT500 at powers under 100 watts, I have
the following problem:

While transmitting at swr's under 1.5, the Tuner will go haywire & try to retune
& go into the tune mode..
Lots of relay clattering….. I have to stop transmitting & go into normal tune mode
& re-memorize the frequency.
Antennas are End Fed Zepps.
