Trying to debug two problems in one of my K3 receivers. Not sure if they
might be related and just starting to delve into it.
The main RX works fine for several minutes (although the sub RX seem to
lack sensitivity) and then the main RX loses signals (although the
background hiss seems constant) and I see ERR PL1. When I try the
troubleshooting procedure in the manual:
"VPLL out of range on band change (to view
actual PLL voltage, set CONFIG: TECH MD
to ON, then tap DISP and use VFO B to locate
the PLL1 and PLL2 voltage displays)."
This procedure goes OK but after I hit DISP the screen shoes "<OFF> SHOW
TECH--MODE MENU ENTRIES, TAP 1/2 ..." but if I tap "1" or "2" it just
shows "FFFF" at top of screen for either one. What does this mean?
