Thanks W the six I VF Sent from my iPhone this time The Eneloop XX is a newer generation 2500mAh battery. It handles fewer recharge cycles (500 instead of 1500), but is still low self-discharge. Those are the ones I use. I strongly recommend low self-discharge for NiMH batteries. There are batteries with greater capacity, but after a week, they have less charge than the Eneloop XX. There are lots of generations of Eneloop batteries. There is even a 2nd generation Eneloop XX that has 2550mAh capacity. The Wikipedia page is quite helpful. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eneloop There are a number of linear supplies in the 3-5A range. These are inexpensive and quiet, but weigh a few pounds. Here are a couple. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Ps1303u http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-PS9KX-Supply-Cigarette-Lighter/dp/B0002BA570/ You might want to join the KX3 list for lots more opinions. http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/KX3/info wunder K6WRU ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
