On completing the resistance tests for the Front Panel Board on page 29 of the
manual (revision I 29 March 2012) I get about 29k on J1 pin5 and not >1M.
I think this is because I've got the KSB2 option and following instructions on
page 29 on the K2 manual, leading me to pages 16/17 of the KSB2 manual, I added
the 5.6k resistor between mic pins 1 and 6, with all the jumpers ready for the
MH2 mic.
Looking through the archives for clues, I see that on 3 Nov 2012 VK4HD, David,
posted the same query with the same resistance reading. Don asked him to check
for solder bridges.
Is this a minor oversight in the manual? A note saying "J1 pin 5 will be 29k if
you have installed the jumpers and 5.6k resistor in preparation for the KSB2
and MH2 mic" would clear it up if I'm right. But maybe I'm not, as only VK4HD
and myself (as far as I can tell) have posted this query on the Elecraft list.
Have I missed something...?
