First, stick with it, once you get it working you will LOVE the mkII, its a

Joe has always given me excellent help with my issues.

I first used my mkII with an ic-7000 with few issues. When I moved up to the
k3 I experienced the exact same
problem as you (no output, period). After 30 minutes of futzing around it
magically started to work.
Unfortunately I never figured out exactly what I did to make the difference...

I suggest you concentrate on one path, either digital/DM780 or voice, then
tackle the other. Voice might be easiest
first, it sounds like you are 1 step from success there.

I never use voice, but I suspect your mike routing is incorrect. Plug your
heil mic into the mkII front panel
mic jack (lower left corner). Then play with all 3 settings of the router
"Audio Settings Tab", "Microphone Selection"
to see if any is a winning combination. "Auto" should work. mkII is probably
selecting the front mic, but that jack
is currently empty (ie, currently plugged into the k3, not the mkII).

One issue that plagued me in the beginning (ie with the 7000) was that the
identifies for the codecs kept changing
under my feet. I was misconfiguring something at the windows level and the
name would change from "microHAM CODEC"
to "1-microHAM CODEC", then "2-microHAM CODEC", etc. every time I replugged the
USB cable. Be sure windows current
id, ie the one mkII router is using, matches the one used by DM780.
