Looking at the top of the board with the lettering rightside up (U3 on the right side, notch to it's left), the pins of U3 are:
8765 1234 so pin 6 is the third pin from the left on the top. I have no comments on the RS DMM other than try the leads both ways (reverse red and black) and use whichever (top or bottom of board) is easiest to get to.
