The KAT500 does not present any options for those. It attempts to
connect at 4 different baud rates. It should find your KAT500, so long
as you point to the correct COM port.

If you're looking at the [Port Settings] for the COM port in Device
Manager, those settings are not really relevant, since the application
(KAT500 Utility) can override them, but FWIW, mine are set to Bits per
second: 9600, Data bits: 8, Parity: None, Stop bits: 1 and Flow
control: None.

When you say "present and selectable", you mean on the [Port] tab of
the KAT500 Utility? Are you sure you're selecting the correct COM
port? To be sure, disconnect/reconnect the USB cable (at the PC end)
whilst watching the Device Manager, as described in [KAT500 Utility
Help -> Troubleshooting -> Finding the Right COM Port]

Also check that the 1/8" plug at the KAT500 end is securely connected.
It's (too) easy to pull it out slightly and loose (sic) connection.

What happens when you select the correct COM port and click on [Test
Communications] on the [Port] tab of the KAT500 Utility?
