After working just fine (no phones plugged in==> speaker on, phones plugged in ==> speaker cuts off), I just removed my headphones and have no speaker output.
I immediately checked the SPKR+PH setting, usually set to "no", and adjusted it to "yes". At that point I have output from the speakers. So there doesn't appear to be anything wrong in the audio chain. I presume whatever mechanical part of the PHONES jack that senses the headphones are plugged in has failed. But I thought I would check to see if anyone had similar issues with a different cause in the past? My K3 is about 2 years old at this point, so fairly "low mileage" 73, Bob, WB4SON ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
