After working just fine (no phones plugged in==> speaker on, phones plugged
in ==> speaker cuts off), I just removed my headphones and have no speaker
output.

I immediately checked the SPKR+PH setting, usually set to "no", and
adjusted it to "yes". At that point I have output from the speakers. So
there doesn't appear to be anything wrong in the audio chain.

I presume whatever mechanical part of the PHONES jack that senses the
headphones are plugged in has failed. But I thought I would check to see
if anyone had similar issues with a different cause in the past?

My K3 is about 2 years old at this point, so fairly "low mileage"
