Tom,

You may have a high-power AM broadcast station close by, or in the favored path 
of your antenna. I suppose your house wiring and/or gutters could be forming a 
high-gain NVIS antenna on some band….

In any case, try setting MENU:RX SHFT to 8.0 on any affected band, and/or 
reduce preamp gain on affected bands from 20 dB to 10 dB using MENU:PREAMP.
