There are air inlet vents over the PA area and an up-firing speaker on top.
I use an inexpensive Costco 3-tier"Seville Classics Bamboo + Steel" shoe shelf. The K3 and keys are underneath and the P3 is about 1-1/2" above the K3, centered. This shelf is much more robust than its predecessor. It holds up my KPA500 without visible sag. The space under the lowest shelf has room for the K3 with 3/8" to spare with the tilt bail up. There are facing wood pieces about 3/4" on front and back of each shelf that stiffen the shelves.
