I’ve used a SignaLink SL-1+ for years with an Icom 756PROIII and a laptop. After getting my K3 up and running I decided to try hooking up the SIgnaLink. I bought the cable that connects it to the line in and line out and PTT connectors of the K3. It seems to work OK except that there didn’t seem to be much audio getting into the K3’s line in. Yes, I turned off the mic input and turned on line in. Yes, I maxed the laptop’s audio out. Finally, So, as an experiment, I ran the laptop’s audio out into a pair of PC speakers and ran the headphone output of the PC speakers into the K3. Lots more audio out of the speakers and I can now get plenty into the K3. I suppose the problem was just that the K3 needs more juice into line in than my Icom needed. Oh, well. Live and learn.
