I have a home brew 40/30/20 end fed half wave vertical I've used for several
years with my K1. 33 ft long and supported with a MFJ fiberglass pole, it has a
loading coil 6 ft from each end. 20 m with the coil shorted, 30 m with a tap
selected and 40 m with the entire coil in the circuit. You have to haul the
antenna down to change bands but that's easy with the MFJ pole.

The tuner is a tuned tank with a 6 turn link tapped on every turn. The coil and
link are wound on a 1 in. toroid. It will tune the antenna to 1:1 SWR on all 3
bands. It will handle about 15 watts before it starts to arc. :-)

I can put together the details if interested.
