Hi Phil, The Piglet creates a wireless network out of the box. It is possible to reconfigure the Piglet to join a home wireless network or a hotspot network created by a mobile device. When using it with iOS it's also possible to reconfigure the Piglet to create an ad-hoc wireless network allowing for simultaneous Wi-Fi and 3G/4G connectivity for rig control and callsign lookups. This reconfiguration can be done with a null modem adapter or cable.
