Remember that we're talking UDP, not TCP, so it's not actually a connection.
.... and the theory is that IP networks are a mesh, but it often doesn't behave like a mesh, and least in any positive way.
Good networks cost more than cheezy ones, but many of us find it hard to justify $200+ month. Level(3) doesn't sell residential DSL.
