Jim,

To be able to find the problem, you will need to add some details as to what the "defect" sounds like. There are many possibilities and we need more details. The new firmware should not necessarily cause a problem, but may if the difference between the two RRC's is significant. There is no reason not to update the control RRC and see if that solves the problem.

I also recommend that you repost this on the RemoteRig forum http://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php if the firmware update does not solve this to receive a response from the developers if needed.

Hi All,
I seem to be having a problem with my RemoteRig operation. Everything worked
perfectly when I initially set it up. While at the remote QTH, the only change
I made was to add the newest firmware to the K3. I have not updated the
firmware at the K3 control station, would this cause a problem?

I had a person tell me the rig sounds like it has a "defect."

Looking at things from the control end, the KAT500 & KPA500 both appear fine,
no changes in SWR or power output.

Any ideas?
