I would hate to think (shudder shudder) that the Power Poles were not
installed properly, as they were done by Elecraft. Move the K3 and they
WILL disconnect. So, I used a couple of cable ties to act as strain
reliefs. That ended the problem.
Everything else in my shack uses real nut and bolt connections on
Bakelite terminal strips. No unplanned disconnects.
I have the proper (expensive) crimp tool and actually do know what I am
doing. That said, other than Field Day use, I can see no reason to use
Power Poles.
