Elecraft is always providing some improvement to their radios. For a long time much of the "action" was with the KX3. A few months back you would have made the opposite conclusion. Recently lots of changes have been going on with the K3, so much of the traffic is related to that.
The KX3 is WILDLY popular and is a fantastic radio.
