In a word: I can’t. OK, that’s two words. I have followed the procedure and am using the PX3s calibration signal as the signal source. I have recorded the initial Amplitude and Phase settings. I can see the two sideband peaks on the display and watch them move closer and further from the centre of the display as I change frequency. However, no amount of adjusting the phase of amplitude settings will cause the opposite sideband to change whatsoever. I am open to suggestions.
One other point. There’s no mention that I can find in the nulling procedure that says what MODE I should be in. If the opposite sideband is on the right of the display then shouldn’t I be in LSB? If it doesn’t matter for this procedure then that would have been useful information too. Any ideas or assistance would be gratefully received!
