Hi Gary, I purchased the ASUS 23” LED, ModelVX238H, from MicroCenter. Net price was $139.99 after $20 instant rebate and $20 mail-in rebate. It has both VGA and (2) HDMI ports so I can attach to my iMac as well, if I care to use as an extra, extended screen.

I ended up returning the Samsung and got an ASUS. Issue resolved. The ASUS handles the P3 output in all resolutions with no issues. I could not adjust the screen size with the Samsung, only the centering of the image.
