Mike,

Pauli unfortunately is a silent key, but you want to consider an alternative,
take a look at my webpage (http://w3fpr.qrpradio.com article on A Fixed Audio
Output for the K2. If you take the audio out to a spare pin on the mic
connector (pin 5 for the Elecraft configuration - remove the mic header jumper
for the pin used), then all signals needed for an external digital modes box
are present at the mic jack - audio out, mic AF in, and PTT.
I might add that Pauli himself surprised me by ordering one of these boards
claiming that it was an easier and more simple solution than his interface
implementation.

I recently mounted one of the Fixed Audio boards in a K2/100 - I laid the
capacitors and the resistor down flat on the board and attached the wires to
the board with no connectors, and the audio out plugs onto the mic
configuration header. It fits nicely in the space between the control board and
the front panel - and there is even a hole in the control board near the left
mounting screw that can be used to attach the board. I will eventually update
my webpage with this additional info, but I'm too busy right at the moment.

I do have boards available at $3 per board plus $0.50 for 1st class mailing US
domestically - $2 air mailed internationally), but no more kits - if you are
interested in a board and documentation, email me direct (without '[Elecraft]'
in the subject line), and I will supply my address (or look on QRZ.com).

Don W3FPR
