Heat strip magnet wire is not intended for winding transformers and motors and should not be used for that purpose...Formvar insulated wire is what is used for that...Chemical stripping was used on Formvar, but the chemicals are no longer available retail...Some electric motors under continuous use, like power saws, get hot enough to destroy heat strip insulation...The commutator connections on these machines are not soldered, they are swaged...
