My experience with direct sampling radios (ANAN-100D & Flex 6500 in the shack alongside my K3s/P3) is that their front ends are plenty robust enough for contesting and low band dx'ing. I also doubt it will beat the KX3 in close-spaced dynamic range, unless they used a very exotic, very expensive A-to-D converter. (Note that the only way the Flex 6700 series can achieve good close-in dynamic range is by turning on the preamp. This overcomes the very poor preamp-off MDS, but at an even greater cost in BDR.) ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
