I am going to finishing the SSB board (with the QRP-Project modification included) in some days, as soon as the parts I need arrived. I have several microphones I could use, so maybe you can give me some advice. I have one Icom SM-8 microphone - is there a circuit diagram around for this type of microphone? I read in the manual of the K2 that some information for microphone jumpering should be on the Elecraft website, but I did not find it yet. Then I have a Kenwood hand microphone (from a VHF SSB transceiver), and a Heil Pro Headset. I have also read about the good idea to make a plug for each type of microphone from discarded IDE plugs. (several around here) Maybe there is a list of microphones with my SM-8 type listed?
