Take it from me: metal knobs are overrated. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this but I once obtained some really spiffy metal knobs to replace the plastic ones and ultimately put the plastic ones back on because I believe plastic really does have a better feel, especially when knobs are small. I now advise anybody considering metal knobs not to waste their money or their time. Al W6LX
