I am not sure I understand your problem, and therefore my potential solution may be irrelevant.
I experienced sudden extremely low power output recently during a contest. The solution was to re-install the firmware and recalibrate TX power. I later determined the cause was voltage drop coming from the power supply. I fixed loose connections in my power supply and put a short lead from the supply direct to the K3 and things are going well again. Problem fixed at zero cost.
