A blast from the past, it's been 17 years since I was involved with this stuff.

In E1 PCM multi channel voice transmission systems the standard test tone was 1024Hz so as not to interact with the 8kHz sampling rate.

This is not a fault but a fact of life.

Maybe the designers would care to mention the DSP sampling rate for the TX audio.
