If I was on the WSJT development team, I'd say exactly what the
developer said: they haven't tested everything, can't keep up with
updates, don't recommend using port-sharing software.
LP-Pan sounds kinda awesome, but the first thing I would do (as someone
who has been coding for a few decades) is to start with the absolute
minimum necessary.
Won't WSJT work in VOX mode with no serial connection at all?
Start with the minimum possible, then add things one at a time.
