Is there any chance that Elecraft will come up with something to replace the KX1? I am not aware of anything else on the market that fits this niche. The closest are probably the various excellent KD1JV rigs. Following are some things I like about the KX1:
* Autotuner * Up to 4-bands * Knobs for tuning, etc. - I really like the filter knob! * Very Low Power consumption * Small & lightweight * Through-hole kit construction Building the KX1 was a joy & I still get a thrill every time I turn it on. It is a great rig.
