IF you have a small handi-vac you might sweep the area until you hear a
light click. If the carpet has similar small sand sized stones, then that
might not work.

Subject: [Elecraft] WARNING ... KXPD1-K2 Paddle Clamp ...
Importance: High

I wish I was still 30 years old, with 20-10 eyes that did not
need glasses to see ... I'm not, and I dumped all of the parts
in this Kit on to my light mottled-gray shack desk top ...

Then I proceeded to put on my glasses to read the manual
that comes with the KXPD1-K2 kit ... the following text
is the header for the second paragraph of the 2-page manual ...

"Before You Open the Parts Envelope"

I knew I had trouble ... here's what that paragraph says ...

"The nylon setscrews contained within the parts envelope are very
small, white, and almost impossible to see if they are poured out
of the envelope onto a white tabletop. Use care when opening
the parts envelope that you do not lose the setscrews."

Too late! ... go here to see just how "almost impossible" these
setscrews are to see on a light-gray table top ...

http://weywalker.home.mindspring.com/

Seeing them on a light beige pile carpet is even more "almost impossible"
...

I found one of them, but after more than an hour of searching, I don't
believe I'll ever find the other one ...
