Tom, I use the KAT500/KPA500 combination with an IC-7610. The PTT line output from the '7610 goes to the KAT500 then to the KPA500. That is so the KAT500 can prevent the KPA500 from keying during a tuning operation or if the KAT500 detects the SWR is too high.

I know there are some wiring diagrams in the manuals, but I am getting some conflicting information from them.
