I have a small COMPOSITION notebook by my computer. It contains all of
the USER and PASSWORD information for every account I use. Each page is
designated for a user site and there is plenty of room to write down the
current password for that account. And I do change passwords
frequently. I do not use a "password vault" nor do I allow Google or
any other application to "remember" my passwords.
It may be slow and a bit archaic, but it is secure and that book never
forgets a password nor does it ever crash.
