It will short the active wire to ground.

The KeyOut does not source any voltage, it is like a switch, it is either open or closed. Any voltage is sourced by the amplifier or other external device. It will only work with a positive voltage.

The voltage and current listed in the specifications are the greatest that the FET can handle.
