Good morning, I have a HupRF PAT tap buffer amp board for my K2's IF. I installed an SMA connector on the heatsink panel when I built the rig.
Looking at the K2's block diagram, the IF is shown between the mixer and post-mixer pre-amp. On the schematic, that appears to be between Z6, pin 2, and C159. My plan is tap the mixer-side of C159, then attach the ground braid to the ground side of R80. Is this the right way to do this? I've searched this reflector, and the web, and I can't really find anything specific using "K2 IF out", etc. SDR kits' site (they sell G4HUP's kits since Dave passed away), and the HupRF site have no instructions for Elecraft rigs. There are links to installation instructions in the most popular Yaekencom radios, but not the K2, even though they are selling the K2 boards.
