I just built the KIO2 and installed it with my KBT2 and KAT2 already in place. 
It was a tight fit, but did not restrict the module or the cable. Keeping it 
neat using cable ties is essential when you re-install the top cover so that 
they do not get pinched or lay on top of the RF board. The problem I did have 
was the cable from the KIO2 meeting at the AUX board. The KIO2 cable was too 
long and stiff which resulted in it trying to twist the board off the control 
board. Forming the KIO2 cable into an S-shape helped reduce some of the 
twisting.

No problem with the KAT2 installed.  Ty-wrap the speaker cable to the
KAT2 cable, but do not put any ty-wraps at the end of the battery.
If the speaker wire has ty-wraps that fall at the end of the battery, cut them 
off.
