Most likely problem is: the Elecraft mic (MH2 or MH4) is an electret mic and requires that a bias voltage be present on the audio pin. The MicSel should read “fPL bias”. If “bias” is not shown, press the “2” button on the panel to right if display to toggle the bias.
If MicSel shows fPH, press the “1” button to toggle H/L.
