I just built a Nanokeyer last night, and the connections for keyer and PTT are both RCA jacks. However, in the documentation, they are referred to as "cinch connectors". When cataloging the parts prior to building, I had to look in the construction pictures to verify what kind of connector was a "cinch" connector. I was rather surprised to see that RCA connectors have a different name now, but RCA hasn't been a thing for a long time now so I guess it was inevitable, seeing as it is listed as having gone defunct in 1986.
The curious can find a short two minute video of my Nanokeyer's first testing here: https://youtu.be/_LLVS_Pk8zE The RCA jacks, referred to as "cinch connectors" in the documentation, are along the leading edge of the device, on the right side. Technically, though, that's the back edge. It's just in the foreground because the cable on my Bencher is short. 73, Gwen, NG3P On Thu, Apr 18, 2019 at 3:54 PM Andy Durbin <[email protected]> wrote: > "Those are now known as “Jones” connectors.
