As an electrical engineer whose major was "power" (back when it was actually taught) I would agree wholeheartedly. The "2 hot plus neutral" is most often a single phase of a three-phase delta 240V secondary with tapped center as "neutral". It could not be two phases of a wye because the voltage from phase to phase would then be 208V for 120V phase-to-neutral. 73 de K2ASP - Phil Kane Elecraft K2/100 s/n 5402 >From a Clearing in the Silicon Forest Beaverton (Washington County) Oregon ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
