For the past nine years I have been using a Force 12 vertical half-wave dipole on 30 meters. It was a one-off for me and at the time designated a ZR-30. I have it mounted about 6 feet off the ground and the coax comes off the bead balun straight to the ground and it works like a champ..there is no evidence that the coax affects the performance.
