Folks - Looks like this thread has way drifted OT. Let's close it for now.
I also gave the original poster a call and his KPA1500 is OK. He made some new changes external to the 1500 based on list comments and the problem is no longer present. We'll stay in touch with him to make sure he does not run into any new issues going forward.
