I hope someone can help me here. I have K2 with the internal battery kit.

When I check the voltage on the battery terminals it says 10.5V. I get the same 
reading on the P3 connector, so power is reaching the radio, but the radio is 
not powering up.

I had the same problem a few years ago. Charging with an external charger seemed to work. But the transceiver switched off very quickly, even though there was still enough voltage. Finally, after 10 or 11 years of use, I exchanged the battery for a new one and everything was fine again. Knowledge: Lead batteries don't live forever.
