I have some of the stripes, although they are less pronounced with the KIO3B upgrade installed. And just checking I only see one at about 950 hz and a weaker one at about double that. At triple that it is very faint. I don't hear anything though so I have always assumed it was in the received audio. Before I installed the new i/o boards I had about the same thing you describe, again I never heard anything on the speaker audio so assumed it was a sound card artifact as it didn't seem to interfere with reception.
