Excellent point.

Yes, the resistor must be installed as shown in the figure. 

The 'not present' meant it wasn't included in the PCB outlines.

Hi everyone.

I have a very simple question regarding the KX1 assembly instructions.  Just
before the second visual inspection and "Alignment and Test Part II" and
just after the installation of L1 and L2, the instructions say...

"Your kit includes an extra 22k resistor for use at R32.  This resistor is
not present on the Revision B or B1 PC boards.  It must be soldered in place
in the location shown below, on the bottom of the board between pins 2 and 3
of U4 (LM386N)."

I have Revision B1.  I am confused by the line "This resistor is not present
on the Revision B or B1 PC boards."  Does it mean there is no silkscreen
outline for R32, but it must be installed, or does it mean the resistor is
not present at all, and should not be used if you have Rev. B or B1?  I
think it is the former, but I would like to be certain.
