No I didn't try to reload the firmware. I was afraid that if the EEPROM was
damaged, a firmware update might not be successful, and leave me with an
inoperative (bricked) KAT500. According to their web page, Elecraft is not
servicing KAT500's due to COVID-19 limited operations. Currently, our KAT500
seems to be working with the other two antennas, so I am waiting to hear from
Elecraft regarding the next steps to take.Thanks & 73,EdN2BHD

Have you tried to RELOAD the firmware? If you didn't reload
the firmware, then I would suggest that you give that a try.
