IF and IF I remember correctly, they (Elecraft) takes not a penny from you till it is shipped. I know the money is waiting for them as I wait for the K4.
I'm still happy, wishing I could I could have taken it on the dxpedition, but it didn't happen either due to Covid-19. I have a great K3S K-Station setup.. I will have a better K4 K-Station setup when it comes in.
