I think I will go with JP9 4-5 to power the ovens all the time. BTW, I really like the integration between the K2 and XV transverters. I use DX4WIN logging software and yesterday I clicked on a 6m spot and there I was. The transverter turned on, it was selected and I was ready to go in a jiffy. Nice! I am going to enjoy using this setup for VHF contesting. ------------------------------------ Ha, ha! Or it says the manual needs to be organized better so you can find things like the jumper options. In fact, that was one of the goals of the latest version of those manuals. One reason for making power to the ovens (and local oscillator itself) switchable was to avoid the possibility of a harmonic of one of the local oscillators causing local QRM on another band. That's not normally a concern, but you have the option of disabling an L.O. when the transverter is not in use if that happens.
