FYI they still sell the PR6-10 preamps new from Elecraft. I just bought one a month ago.
I have the K3 and I have made some (but not all) of the conversions to K3s standards. My K3 is performing well. The PR6 was designed to help boost 10M and 6M signals as an add-on unit which plugs into the RX IN/OUT connections on the back of the K3 with supplied BNC connectors.
